How San Antonio parents can help their kids through back-to-school anxiety
Giancarlo Ferruzzi, MD, spoke to MySA.com about back-to-school anxieties children may be facing before returning to class, and how parents can help their kids address these feelings.
What can parents do to ease their child's school anxiety:
- Openly communicate
 - Observe your child's facial expression, tone of voice, and mood to see how they are feeling
 - Don't avoid talking about scary topics, but be mindful of your child's age when having tough conversations
 - Communicate with your child's teachers
 - Assure your child that you are there to support them
