School of Dentistry 44th Annual Research & Clinical Symposium
The School of Dentistry celebrated its 44th Annual Research and Clinical Symposium at the end of February in the Holly Auditorium and Foyer at UT San Antonio Health Science Center. This year’s symposium welcomed a full auditorium as doctoral students, post-doctoral residents and faculty presented a total of 38 oral and poster research projects.
The symposium began with remarks from , associate dean for research and interim director of the Center for Regenerative Sciences. The first distinguished keynote speaker, , professor and chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT San Antonio, presented “Clinical Research: Questions I’ve Answered.”
Oral presentations were delivered by 10 participants, followed by 28 poster presentations in the foyer. By noon, Dr. Singh welcomed all attendees back to the auditorium to introduce the second esteemed speaker, , an associate professor and the director of research in the school’s Department of Periodontics. Chun delivered a presentation titled “Intersections of Basement Membranes and Teeth.”
To conclude the symposium, Dr. Singh, took the stage to recognize the winners and present award certificates.
